Friday Frolics – 28th April 2017

Welcome to Friday Frolics, the linky with the giggles. Friday Frolics is hosted by myself, Claire at Life, Love and Dirty Dishes, and Emma at Island Living 365. It’s the place to link up your funny posts and snort your tea whilst enjoying some others.

Thank you to everyone who linked up their fantastic funny posts last time.

Friday Favourites

My favourite post from last week: Our Rach – 10 Irritants. I love Rach’s run down of the many irritating things out there, ruining our days. I even learnt about some clearly very annoying things that I didn’t even know were going on! People are treating us all to the contents of their iphone notes?? The joy!

Claire’s favourite post: ‘Pass the Wine Please – Doing The Mum Maths. Maths was never my strong point. But when it comes to mum maths I am failing!’

Emma’s favourite post: ‘Real Mum Review – Sleep When Baby Sleeps. Is a stupid thing to say YES! This used to drive me insane. I never slept when baby slept and I think that as soon as baby arrives you will probably never sleep again because you will be too busy worrying about important things. Like Real Mum Review I find myself worrying about how much more Toadie can take.’

Friday Frolics – 21st April 2017

Welcome to Friday Frolics, the linky with the giggles. Friday Frolics is hosted by myself, Claire at Life, Love and Dirty Dishes, and Emma at Island Living 365. It’s the place to link up your funny posts and snort your tea whilst enjoying some others.

Thank you to everyone who linked up their fantastic funny posts last time. Hope you all had an enjoyable – and funny – Easter.

Friday Favourites

My favourite post from last week: Turning Up in Devon – Village Survival, Static (Caravan) Shocks! The joys that occur when people seem to forget what static actually means, and supposedly ‘static’ caravans start moving around the country.

Claire’s favourite post: ‘Maflingo – Be Afraid! Top 12 Terrors of Childhood. I loved this flashback post. I remember so many of these ‘information’ films. They were traumatic! I hate fireworks because of them.’

Emma’s favourite post: ‘Mom of two little girls – Domestic Engineer Advanced Level. Anyone who can make the title of stay-at-home mum sound more important is a winner in my book. As we know being a stay-at-home mum is a very important job but I always felt that our title did not convey this. Domestic Engineer Advanced Level is a title that I can get on board with 😉 I am also on board with the shopping list – wine and cake? HELLO!’

Friday Frolics – 7th April 2017

Welcome to Friday Frolics, the linky with the giggles. Friday Frolics is hosted by myself, Claire at Life, Love and Dirty Dishes, and Emma at Island Living 365. It’s the place to link up your funny posts and snort your tea whilst enjoying some others.

Thank you to everyone who linked up their fantastic funny posts last week. Next week there will be no Friday Frolics, as we are taking a break for Easter. Enjoy the holidays, and hope to see you back on the 21st April.

Friday Favourites

My favourite post from last week: Lovely host Claire and her The Chickenpox House. Claire’s epic two week adventure in chickenpox deserves a medal, let alone a Friday Frolics favourite, and makes a far more entertaining reality show than the Big Brother House. I’ve actually had a number of Day Three in the Chickenpox House days…and neither of my kids have yet had chickenpox! I’m honestly not sure who was crowned the winner of the Chickenpox House – I think it might have been the pox – but, Claire, I salute you! Two weeks of spotty captivity!

Claire’s favourite post: ‘Unremarkable Files – 12 Things Parents Forget That Normal People Do. You mean it’s not normal to eat chocolate with your head in the cupboard?’

Emma’s favourite post: ‘Daily Dump Show – Life Grinch. I am someone who is often asked – “ooh, look at your grumpy face” when I am actually just resting my face. I know, CHARMING! However, I am a grinch and I wholeheartedly agree with everything that is on this list! I especially can’t stand loud chewing. We don’t need to chew our soup!’

Friday Favourites

My favourite post from last week: You Have to Laugh – Open Letters Now More Popular Than Actual Letters. A possibly slightly controversial choice from me this week, and I do apologise to all open letter fans but, nonetheless, this did really make me giggle.

Claire’s favourite post: ‘Shinners and The Brood – Things That Make You Go Ewww. This post made me giggle. I have crossed every single one of these of the list. Do I get a prize? I feel like I should get a prize. I deserve a prize!’

Emma’s favourite post: ‘Pass the Wine Please – Assembling Your Parent Posse – 6 Key Questions. From now on I will not waste time with the small talk! No! From now on I will just hand this genius questionnaire out. I am strictly a C type of gal! Now hand me that box of wine and don’t forget the straw ;-)’

Friday Favourites

My favourite post from last week: Shallow Reflections – Trump leprechaun ban results in unexpected consequences. Now Trump’s travel ban is really out of control: children being forced into leprechaunism, and pots of gold residing at the end of a wall because rainbows were encouraging immigration.

Claire’s favourite post: ‘Tales From Mamaville with her fabulous parody: These Are A Few Of My Least Favourite Things.’

Emma’s favourite post: ‘Apply to face – Boom Lemon Meringue Pie. I love her recipes and the stories that go with them are hilarious. I think of ‘Apply to face’ as a much younger and slightly ruder Mary Berry. Love balls anyone? ‘

Friday Favourites

My favourite post from last week: Mummy Muckups – Timely Time Out. Anna has come up with the most genius strategy ever – don’t put the kids on time out. Get annoyed with them and then put yourself on time out to repent. Don’t forget to take your phone with you. Maybe some chocolate. A drink perhaps. Why had I never thought of this before??

Claire’s favourite post: ‘There were some great posts linked up last week, and several that made me very thankful for our NHS. But I have to give a shout out this week to my brilliant co-hosts as their posts really did make me giggle; 16 Reasons Why I’m a Bad Feminist and Random Things I’ve Seen.’

Emma’s favourite post: ‘One Dad 2 Sons – The Day I Realised I Had Developed the “Dad Bod”. This made me laugh and I loved the short Dad bod film. I could really relate to this post, I miss the days when I could down several pints of lager and eat all of the pies without worrying about my weight!’

My favourite post from last week: Mummy Muckups – I’m Letting You Go, My Baby Boy. An amusing, and very relatable, list of all the things to worry about when your kid starts school. And a lovely reminder not to focus on those things. I loved this as my eldest is due to start school in September, and I plan to worry about all of these things!

Emma’s favourite post: ‘Slouching Towards Thatcham – A Parent Blogging Parody: If the Pet Shop Boys Had Written a Song About Blogging. A brilliantly funny parody and also very true. The Pet Shop Boys will now forever remind me of blogging, I’m not sure how I feel about that!’

Friday Favourites

My favourite post from last week: The Secret Life of the Baby – Baby’s Routine Mistake. As always, a hilarious telling of parenting through the eyes of the baby. Having not been blessed with babies who were easy to get to go to sleep, I am pleased to know that the babies are as indignant as we are about the whole bedtime routine debacles.

Claire’s favourite post: ‘Shinners & The Brood – If Play Dates Came With A Warning. This really made me laugh. Some kids should definitely come with some kind of warning!’

Emma’s favourite post: ‘Turning up in Devon – Village Survival: The Joy* of a New Oven! I feel Turning up in Devon’s pain! Ordering and then getting a new appliance delivered is hellish enough, but then having to work out how to use it! No chance. A brilliantly written post.’

I am looking forward to all the fun and frolics, but first for a couple of serious bits.

The Rules:

1. Make us laugh! Friday Frolics is all about the funny, so please no reviews, or how to make a finger puppet (unless, of course, they are hilarious).

2. Include the Friday Frolics badge in the post that you are linking. If you do not include the badge, you will not be eligible to feature as a Friday Favourite.

3. Comment on one of each of the hosts’ posts, and at least one other post for every post you link up. Share the fun people! Use #FridayFrolics when you comment on posts so people can see where you are linking from.

4. You can link up to 2 posts, old or new.

Friday Frolics – 20th January 2017

Welcome to Friday Frolics, the linky with the giggles. Friday Frolics is hosted by myself, Claire at Life, Love and Dirty Dishes, and Emma at Island Living 365. It’s the place to link up your funny posts and snort your tea whilst enjoying some others.

Thank you to everyone who linked up their fantastic funny posts last week. Let’s make this week a good one – we’re all going to need the laughs following the inauguration of the Mean Porcine Tangerine Drama-Queen. Sorry, President Mean Porcine Tangerine Drama-Queen.

This week I am linking up with a ressurected old post – Toddler Interior Design Tips.

Friday Favourites

My favourite post from last week: Muma on the Edge – #MumaWins. I like the idea of celebrating the wins. I completely get the excitement at having clean and tidy cupboards. I would feel it too, if I cleaned and tidied my cupboards. I may have some rusty baking trays lurking in mine too, though I hope I don’t have any sweet potatoes quietly turning to hummus!

Claire’s favourite post: ‘Unremarkable Files – Things Every Mom Has Done at Least a Million Times. And does most of them every single day. Sometimes twice!’

Emma’s favourite post: ‘WebMDiva – Women Are Bitchy Because We Were Overcharged for the Fruit. As someone who has also been accused of sometimes suffering from “emotional twirls” I really laughed at this post! Now we know why Eve really ate that apple. Eve was too busy making a point, and Adam was too busy admiring his penis. Sounds familiar 😉 ‘

Friday Frolics – 13th January 2016

Welcome to Friday Frolics, the linky with the giggles. Friday Frolics is hosted by myself, Claire at Life, Love and Dirty Dishes, and Emma at Island Living 365. It’s the place to link up your funny posts and snort your tea whilst enjoying some others.

Hope you’re all getting into the swing of 2017, and having some funny experiences to share with us for Friday Frolics.

Thank you to everyone who linked up their fantastic funny posts last week.

Friday Favourites

My favourite post from last week: Mama Zen Blog – Christmas. I’m SO on it! Are you on top of the Christmas madness, or do you end up with green hair?? I think I am the latter, and don’t even have school events to contend with yet!

Claire’s favourite post: ‘Daily Dump – Dear Kids… Meet Dad. This post is my life. Every single day! Why ask Daddy when you can ask Mummy!’

Emma’s favourite post: ‘Tales from Mamaville – Resolutions of a 2017 Parody. Brilliantly clever post that had me nodding along in agreement and chuckling away. I can only hope that I will be “as cool as those Paw Patrol pups” this year! However, I fear it will be more like chasing my tail.’
