Toddler Proverbs Part Two

Toddlers, as we all know, are very wise. As such, I present further well-known toddler proverbs.

1. Fortune favours the bold enough to throw a tantrum in public

2. Hope for the best, but prepare for the screaming

3. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer…and bite them both

4. Practice makes a perfect mess

5. Don’t bite the hand…that is all – don’t bite

6. If you can’t beat ’em, throw things at ’em

7. A penny saved is a penny swallowed

8. You can’t lead a cat to water…stop trying to lead the cat

9. If the blind lead the blind, both shall fall…so both of you open your eyes and get down from the table

10. All good things must come to an end…even chocolate buttons

Love point no 2 – I’m always prepared for screaming even now with my 11 year old son especially when I point out his spelling mistakes in his homework or when he just hasn’t understood a homework task… or just mentioning homework actually! LOL! ?

While I’m not entirely sure it is legal, in fact I’m fairly certain it isn’t, a bottle of Benadryl is handing when number two becomes problematic :).

  3. Definitely No 2 – hope for the best and prepare for screaming! Always screaming! The older they get the more shrill the screaming and I particularly enjoy a screamy argument between my two…arrrrgh x #fridayfrolics

  4. These are pretty good! I can relate to almost all of them. I can not believe that with four wild children we have never had a swallowed penny!

I guess these is still time though…

Love the last one as we have a 3 year old who was deeply upset that there were no more bags of party rings left “what do I eat now then?” Nothing buddy it’s bedtime!

  6. By number 8 I was full on chortling! “Stop trying to lead the cat”, utterly brilliant! My eldest is currently fixated on trying to “play” with our cat with a big length of string. It’s mostly just the cat watching her waft it about with a slightly bemused look on its face. Love this! #blogcrush x
